The National Institute for Farming Research (INIA, according to its Spanish
initials) reported bird samples from the following states: Miranda,
Guaicapuro municipality (3 heavy hens and household hens); Guarico, Miranda
municipality (one household hen); Aragua (Girardot municipality (an adult
bird).

All cases were diagnosed with Newcastle disease.
