    "CHICKENS VACCINATION AGAINST NEW DISEASE KICKS OFF IN TORIT

    Eastern Equatoria State Ministry of Animal Resources and Fisheries has started to vaccinate chickens against a new disease in Torit.

    Acting Director for Veterinary Services and Livestock Development, Quinto Asaye Alex, said the vaccination was on cost recovery of two chickens at one pound, Radio Emmanuel reported.

    ...Mr Asaye asked farmers to bring their birds in one site for vaccination.

    He advised interested farmers to come for registration and necessary arrangements at State Ministry of Animal Resources and Fisheries in Torit to enable officials vaccinate their chickens.

    One farmers who spoke in anonymity complained of late vaccination of chicken blaming the ministry of starting the exercise after most farmers lost their birds to the new castle disease."
