Trenton’s animal shelter has been closed to the public to prevent the spread of canine flu, but no dogs have died from the virus.
The city’s Humane Law Enforcement and Animal Services Shelter suspended all canine and feline adoptions but will continue to respond to emergency cases, like a police raid or fire. All volunteer activities within the shelter were canceled and the shelter will not be able to take in any new lost or abandoned animals.
