    Two ASF outbreaks in the Mielec poviat. Weaners, porkers, sows and piglets are to be liquidated

    Every day there is information about further ASF outbreaks in the country. Today, the veterinary services have published a message about two infected piggeries in the Mielec district. Again, we are dealing with the presence of the virus in small herds, several dozen each.

    ASF No. 41 in 2021 was designated on August 3, 2021 on a farm where 67 pigs (weaners, fattening pigs, sows, piglets) were kept, located in the town of Trzciana, in the commune of Czernin, Mielec County, Podkarpackie Province.

    On the map of ASF outbreaks and cases kept by the Chief Veterinary Inspectorate, five more points appeared, marking pig farms infected with the virus. This year, 48 outbreaks of the disease have already been recorded.

    ASF outbreak No. 44 in 2021 was designated on August 5, 2021 on a farm where 22 pigs (1 sow, 12 weaners, 9 fattening pigs) were kept, located in the village of Łączki Brzeskie, in the commune of Przecław, Mielec County, Podkarpackie Province.

    ASF outbreak No. 45 in 2021 was designated on 5 August 2021 on the farm where 353 pigs (13 sows, 67 piglets, 25 weaners, 248 fattening pigs) were kept, located in Kawęczyn, in the Wadowice Górne commune, Mielec poviat, Podkarpackie Province .

    ASF outbreak No. 46 in 2021 was designated on 5 August 2021 on a farm where 22 pigs (1 sow, 12 weaners, 9 fattening pigs) were kept, located in Przebendów, in the commune of Wadowice Górne, Mielec County, Podkarpackie Province.

    ASF outbreak No. 47 in 2021 was designated on August 7, 2021 on a farm where 37 pigs (4 sows, 12 weaners, 21 fattening pigs) were kept, located in the town of Dąbrówka Osuchowska, in the commune of Czermin, Mielec County, Podkarpackie Province.

    The ASF outbreak No. 48 in 2021 was designated on August 7, 2021 on the farm where 280 pigs (22 sows, 70 piglets, 44 weaners, 144 fattening pigs) were kept, located in the town of Trzebosz, in the Bojanowo commune, Rawicki poviat, Greater Poland Voivodeship.

      Nearly 70 new ASF outbreaks of wild boar
      Over the past two weeks, 69 new ASF outbreaks in the wild boar population have been confirmed in eight provinces of our country.

      The disease appeared in the following provinces: Warmińsko-Mazurskie, Podlaskie, Lubelskie, Podkarpackie, Lubuskie, Dolnośląskie, Wielkopolskie and Zachodniopomorskie. Plague appeared in several locations for the first time in several months. These include the commune of Radwanice (Polkowice district), Włoszakowice (Leszno district), and Szczebrzeszyn (Zamość district). Out of 69 ASF outbreaks of wild boar, 14 were recorded in shot animals, while the rest were confirmed in the remains of dead animals.
      Where did ASF occur?

      During the past two weeks, wild boar ASF outbreaks have been confirmed in the following locations:

      Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship:

      - Braniewo poviat (Wileczyta commune)

      - Ełk poviat (Ełk commune)

      - Lidzbark County (Lidzbark Warmiński Commune)

      Podlaskie Voivodeship:

      - Białystok poviat (commune of Gródek)

      - Siemiatycze district (Mielnik commune)

      Lublin province:

      - Biała Podlaska poviat (Piszczac commune)

      - Kraśnik poviat (Gmina Bogaradów)

      - Puławy poviat (Kazimierz Dolny commune)

      - Zamość poviat (Szczebrzeszyn commune)

      Podkarpackie voivodeship:

      - Jarosław poviat (Laszki commune)

      - Lubaczów poviat (Oleszyce and Wielkie Oczy communes)

      - Mielec poviat (communes of Czermin and Przecław)

      - Stalowa Wola poviat (Zaklików commune)

      Lubuskie:

      - Krosno poviat (municipalities of Bobrowice and Gubin)

      - Międzyrzecz poviat (Międzyrzecz commune)

      - Słubice poviat (Cybinka commune)

      - Sulęcin poviat (communes of Krzeszyce, Lubniewice, Bledzew, Sulęcin and Torzym)

      - Żagań poviat (Żagań commune)

      - Żary poviat (municipalities of Łęknica and Żary)

      Lower Silesia:

      - Bolesławiecki poviat (Gromadka commune)

      - Polkowice poviat (commune of Gaworzyce and Radwanice)

      - Zgorzelec poviat (Węgliniec commune)

      Greater Poland Voivodeship:

      - Leszno poviat (Włoszakowice commune)

      - Szamotuły district (Ostroróg and Pniewy communes)

      West Pomeranian voivodeship:

      - Gryfino poviat (communes of Cedynia and Chojna)

      In 69 ASF foci, traces of disease were confirmed in the tissues of 86 animals. From the beginning of the year 1949 ASF outbreaks of wild boar were confirmed. Since the beginning of the year, 51 ASF outbreaks in pigs have also been confirmed.

        According to the data provided by the Chief Veterinary Inspectorate, 34 new ASF outbreaks of wild boar have been confirmed in Poland over the past seven days.

        The disease appeared in the following voivodships: warmińsko-mazurskie, podlaskie, mazowieckie, podkarpackie, lubuskie, dolnośląskie and zachodniopomorskie. All outbreaks were confirmed in the pink or red zone, which is why they will probably not change the regionalization of our country in terms of ASF occurrence.
