Wild Boar Situation
On 15 November, Poland informed for the first time about an ASF case in Lubusz Voivodship in the west of the
Landes, approx. 300 km from the nearest ASF case and 79 km from the German border (Brandenburg). It was a wild boar found dead on November 5, 2019. By the end of November, a total of 33 ASF-positive carcasses were found in the infected area up to 40 km from the German border,
therefore the Part II area has been extended. In the southeast of Poland, the ASF continues to spread, so too
Here the Part II area was extended to the south.
Other ASF cases in wild boars were mainly reported by Hungary. There, the infection area along the
Danube further extended. In the vicinity of Budapest, the ASP was also detected in a game park.
In Belgium, the last ASF positive animal was found on 7th November; it was a skeletal carcass. The control measures continue, the wild boar density has been significantly reduced. Domestic pigs are not affected so far; more than 8,000 pigs with negative results were examined. Of the

In Slovakia, further ASF cases were detected in wild boar. The construction of a fence is due
the size of the territory (400 km long border with Hungary).
From Russia and South Korea, additional wild-pig ASF cases were reported during the reporting period.
