BROOMFIELD, CO -- A dog belonging to a Broomfield family contracted plague from a prairie dog and was euthanized last week at Colorado State University, the Loveland Reporter Herald Reported.
Larimer County health officials reported the dog was seen sniffing a dead prairie dog a day or two before showing symptoms of illness and was brought to the CSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital for treatment, the report said...
