Three cases in Djerba: Closure of Hara Sghira and Hara kebira

    March 22, 2020 12:10

The director of the National Observatory for New and Emerging Diseases, Nissaf Ben Alaya, announced at a press conference held on Sunday, March 22, 2020, that a series of strict measures has been taken regarding the situation deemed critical in the island of Djerba, three cases of contamination with coronavirus having been confirmed there.

These measures were taken because the patients who tested positive had not respected the 14-day self-isolation when they came from abroad, and were therefore in contact with many people because they led an ordinary lifestyle. .

"One case of contamination was recorded after he had not traveled and had not contacted anyone returning from a trip." informed Nissaf Ben Alaya saying that it would be a vertical transmission according to her. He added that the person in question has still not been identified.

The mayor of Erriadh-Houmt-Souk-Djerba, Mohsen Belaiebn told Mosaique FM that it has been decided to close "Hara Sghira" and "Hara Kebira" in order to prevent the spread of virus. Closing the island is possible, he said.

La directrice de l'Observatoire national des maladies nouvelles et émergentes, Nissaf Ben Alaya, a annoncé lors d'une conférence de presse tenue ce dimanche 22 mars 2020,
