    (COVID-19) Tunisia reports 6 new cases imported from COVID-19

    The Tunisian Ministry of Health reported in a statement released Tuesday that six new imported cases of COVID-19 contamination have been detected.

    According to the press release, all imported cases of contamination are now handled in quarantine centers since their arrival in the country.

    Thus, the epidemiological assessment shows 1,205 cases confirmed in the country since March 2, including 50 deaths, according to the Ministry of Health. Patients who died from coronavirus disease were registered in 15 of the 24 Tunisian provinces, the majority of which, 23 deceased patients, were in Greater Tunis.

    The ministry was also able to identify 1,049 cures, and 106 subjects still carrying the virus, including a patient currently hospitalized.

      Sixteen new Covid-19 cases have been recorded (incoming cases) out of 798 medical tests, up to July 7, 2020, the Ministry of Health announced in a statement released on Wednesday July 8.
      Thus, the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases is now at 1221 out of a total of 74408 screening analyzes carried out since the appearance of the first Covid-19 case in Tunisia last March.

      The 16 new cases were identified in Tunis (One new case), Nabeul (One new case), Sousse (Two new cases), Kasserine (Nine new cases) and Gafsa (Three new cases).
      Fifty deaths have also been recorded according to the department: 5 in Sfax, 8 in Sousse, 5 in Ariana, 1 in Kef, 2 in Mahdia, 1 in Tataouine, 1 in Bizerte, 9 in Tunis, 5 in Medenine, 5 at Manouba, 1 at Sidi Bouzid, 1 at Nabeul, 4 at Ben Arous, 1 at Gafsa and 1 at K?bili.

      The Ministry of Health has also specified that 121 people are still carriers of the virus, including one hospitalized. Thus, the remaining 120 patients are all placed in compulsory containment centers. The number of restorations thus rose to 1,050.
