    Tanzanian Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa on Wednesday confirmed two more cases of COVID-19, bringing to three the total number of confirmed infections in the country.
    In his address to the nation televised live by state-run Tanzania Broadcasting Corporation, Majaliwa identified the new cases as nationals from the United States and Germany.
    Majaliwa said one case was confirmed in the commercial capital, Dar es Salaam, and other one in the Zanzibar archipelago, located off the coast of mainland Tanzania.
    The official also announced the shutting down of universities and other higher learning institutions in the wake of the outbreak that has spread around the world...

      Two new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed by Tanzania’s health ministry, bringing the total number of acknowledged cases in the country to six. The ministry revealed the new developments in a statement on Thursday.

      The two patients were identified as 40-year old Tanzanian men. One had traveled to Denmark, France, and Switzerland beginning on March 5 and returned to the country on Saturday. The other had traveled to South Africa over the weekend, returning to the country on Tuesday...

              Tanzania coronavirus cases rise to 19

              Tanzania has reported five new cases of coronavirus on Monday, raising the total number of confirmed infections to 19.

              Three of infected people are from Tanzania mainland, while the two others are from the semi-autonomous Zanzibar archipelago, Health minister Ummy Mwalimu said.

                Tanzania confirmed its first coronavirus death on Tuesday, health minister Ummy Mwalimu (pictured) said in a statement.
                The 49-year-old Tanzanian male, who had pre-existing conditions, had been admitted to Mloganzila Hospital in Dar Es Salaam for treatment.
                Tanzania had 19 confirmed cases of coronavirus as of Monday.

                          DAR ES SALAAM, April 13 (Xinhua) -- Tanzania on Monday announced 17 new COVID-19 cases bringing to 49 the total number of confirmed cases in the east African nation.

                          According to Tanzanian health authorities in the mainland and Zanzibar, 13 of the new cases were from the commercial capital Dar es Salaam, one from the northern city of Arusha and three from Zanzibar.
