    Senegal / Covid-19: 3348 positive cases, including 1686 cured

    Dakar - The Senegalese Ministry of Health and Social Action said on Thursday 95 new cases of Covid-19, bringing the number of cases registered since March 2 to 3,348, including 1,686 recoveries.

    During the daily press briefing on the situation of the pandemic, the Director General of Health, Marie Kh?m?s Ngom Ndiaye, clarified that 86 of the new contaminations came from follow-up contact cases while 09 came from community transmission in Dakar (05 ) and Touba (04).

    A hundred hospitalized patients were declared cured while 19 serious cases are managed in the intensive care units.

    To date, Senegal has counted 3348 cases of Covid-19 including 1686 cured, 39 deaths and 1622 patients on treatment.

          Dakar - Senegal recorded 94 new cases of coronavirus and 57 new healings on Monday (1,858 in total) on Monday, the Ministry of Health and Social Action announced.

          These 94 new contaminations were detected on a sample of 1,820 tests, representing a positivity rate of 5.15%, said Dr Aloyse Waly, spokesman for the ministry, ensuring that among the infected persons there are 84 contact cases followed by ministry services.

          The other 10 patients were infected via community transmission, he said, noting that 14 serious cases are being managed in the intensive care unit.

          As of today, 1,838 patients are still on treatment, while 1,858 others have recovered from the disease.

          Senegal has recorded 3,739 cases of coronavirus for a total of 42 deaths since the onset of the disease on March 2.

            Dakar - Ninety-seven new Covid-19 infections were reported on Tuesday by the Senegalese Ministry of Health and Welfare, bringing the total number of positive cases in the country to 3,836, including 1,954 cured.
            For 1,024 tests done in the past 24 hours, 97 are positive, representing a positive rate of 7.24%, said director general of health, Marie Kh?messe Ngom Ndiaye.
            According to the official, these are 77 follow-up contact cases and 20 cases caused by community transmission, a record for this type of contamination since the start of the epidemic in Senegal.
            Ninety-six patients were tested negative and declared cured, giving a total of 1,954 cures since the onset of the pandemic in Senegal on March 2.

              Dakar - The Senegalese Ministry of Health and Social Action reported on Wednesday 96 new Covid-19 contaminations and a cumulative of 3,932 cases since March 2.

              These 96 new infections were listed on a sample of 1,549 tests, or a rate of 6.19% seropositivity, said the director general of health, Marie Kh?messe Ngom Ndiaye, noting that of this total of new infected, 80 are contact cases followed by health services and 16 were infected with community transmission.

                Dakar - The Minister of Health and Social Action, Abdoulaye Diouf Sarr, announced on Thursday 89 new cases positive for the coronavirus, bringing to 4021 the toll of contaminations in the country.

                Among the newly infected patients, 74 are contact cases followed by the health services, said Abdoulaye Diouf Sarr, during a situation report on the pandemic, noting that the other 15 cases stem from community transmission.

                Since March 2, Senegal has recorded 4,021 positive cases of Covid-19, including 2,162 cured, 45 deceased and 1,873 under treatment in hospitals.

                Several measures to ease the state of health emergency, including the lifting of the ban on interurban transport and the adjustment of the duration of the curfew, now set between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. (instead of 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. ), were announced Thursday by the Minister of the Interior and Public Security, Aly Ngouille Ndiaye.

                              The Senegalese Ministry of Health and Social Action announced on Friday that it had counted 92 new cases of infection with the new coronavirus, bringing the total to 4,851 cases.

                                Out of 1,378 tests carried out, 145 returned positive, representing a positive rate of 10.5%. The positive cases are distributed as follows:

                                • 99 contact cases followed by our services;

                                • 27 cases imported to the AIBD;

                                19 cases from community transmission divided between:

                                Point E (01), Matam (01), Thiaroye (01), Mermoz (01) Sicap MBao (01), Thiadiaye (01), Tivaouane (01), Diourbel (01), Touba (05), Colobane (01) Medina (01) Grand Yoff (01), Plateau (01), Gu?diawaye (01), Keur Mbaye Fall (01).
