Madagascar recorded its first death from influenza A
The first death related to influenza A/H1N1 has been recorded in Madagascar, has announced a
senior official of the Malagasy Ministry of Health and Family Planning City
Friday by the media.
The victim, who was not identified by the health official, died at
Government Hospital of Joseph Raseta Befelatana Sunday in Antananarivo
last sequences of a chronic disease, said the source.
Since last August, when the influenza A/H1N1 appeared in the
Malagasy territory, the number of infected by the virus is increasing and
the number of confirmed cases now stands at 628 against 448 in October.
