These are the children under ten who are most affected. A delegation from the provincial Ministry of Health visited Kalonda East, Tuesday, September 13 this afternoon to inquire about the situation.
On site, more than ten children under ten died in the last two weeks. They showed signs of fever accompanied by severe diarrhea, witnesses said.
The police chief of coaching BaKoMa said that two to three deaths are recorded daily. These are the children of localities Milembwe, Ngiefu Kale, Tshiponga in the sector Lufubu Lomami, about 80 km from the city of Kabinda.

For its part, the provincial government takes it seriously. The provincial Minister of Health, Dr Dieudonn? Nsekela, visited Kabinda on Tuesday to "personally make the collection of samples for analysis at the National Institute of Biological Research (INRB) in Kinshasa."
