On site, more than ten children under ten died in the last two weeks. They showed signs of fever accompanied by severe diarrhea, witnesses said.

The police chief of coaching BaKoMa said that two to three deaths are recorded daily. These are the children of localities Milembwe, Ngiefu Kale, Tshiponga in the sector Lufubu Lomami, about 80 km from the city of Kabinda.
