Cameroon launches vaccination campaign against H1N1 flu
News - Africa news .Yaounde, Cameroon - The Cameroonian Ministry of Public Health on Tuesday launched a nationwide vaccination campaign in Yaounde against the H1N1 flu virus. The five-day campaign targets the country's health staff, children between 5 and 15 years, women who are more than six months pregnant, the elderly, as well as those who suffer from diabetes and hypertension.
The Cameroonian government has received from the World Health Organization 1.3 million doses of vaccines that will be administered by 3,000 health workers.
Since the beginning of the year, at least 75 cases of H1N1 flu have been recorded in the country, says the Cameroonian Health ministry.
