Over 6,000 cases of malaria diagnosed
Luanda ? At least 6,980 cases of malaria were reported in the first half of this year, in the municipality of Mussende, Kwanza Sul province, from a number of 25,818 patients admitted in the municipal hospital.
Speaking to ANGOP, the chief of Health in Mussende, Joana Menezes, said that malaria affected mainly children under five years of age.
The disease killed seven patients, adding that associated with malaria were registered 561 cases of respiratory diseases, 4,694 of diarrhoea, 3,353 parasitic, 439 of conjunctivitis, among others.
