According to the Ministry of Health, 15 of the 19 new cases have been detected in the capital Bamako.

To stem the spread of the virus, the Malian government has decided to extend the closure of all education levels from April 9 to May 9.

A state of health emergency was declared on March 25 in Mali and a curfew introduced since March 26. F

Covid-19: Mali exceeds 400 cases a month after the first reports
Posted on 04.27.2020 at 2:16 p.m. by Idelette BISSUU

The medical staff who have been working hard since the start of this pandemic in our country have been able to cure 113 patients including an MSF agent and 7 cases transferred out of the country. As for the contact cases, they amounted to 1931.

After the second round of the legislative elections on April 19, the number of cases tested positive for Covid 19 communicated by the authorities to the daily exceeded the bar of 20 cases on April 22, that is, 35 cases in 24 hours, and on April 25, 45 case. Despite the barrier gestures and the precautions put in place by the authorities, the virus in its journey after Kayes and Bamako, invited itself to other regions of the country, public and banking institutions.

In the fight against the spread of the virus, alongside the authorities, political partners, non-governmental organizations and civil society, are multiplying actions on the ground to eradicate Covid-19 in Mali.
