    The death of a 'plumeur' in Casablanca is not due to virus H5N1

    The death Tuesday of a poultry 'plumeur', originating in Casablanca, is not due to virus H5N1 of the aviary influenza, ensured, Thursday evening, the Minister for Health, Mr. Mohamed Sheik Biadillah.

    The exact cause of the death will be specified by an autopsy ordered by the prosecutor of the King, added the minister in a declaration to the MAP.

    "The research of virus H5N1 by two different laboratories proved to be negative and an autopsy was ordered by the prosecutor of the King, whose results are awaited for Friday", Mr. Biadillah affirmed.

    "Late, 42 years old the, originating one in Casablanca, 'plumeur' of poultries, nicotinic chronic, had presented on last 28 April, following a bath with cold water, a fever and greenish spittle", specified the minister.

    "A treatment based on antibiotics was prescribed with the patient but in vain", Mr. Biadillah added, specifying that "at the time of a second consultation (April 29), the patient presented a respiratory embarrassment, bilateral basithoracic pains, but any more fever did not have".


    "On May 1, the patient presented the hemoptysy, and pulmonary radiography showed the aspect of a miliaire tuberculosis", affirmed the minister, announcing that the doctor has pr?scrit to him the hospitalization.

    The patient is deceased in residence on May 2 at 0 a.m., specified the minister.

    "It does not act of an attack by virus H5N1", reaffirmed the minister, adding that the exact cause of the death will be specified by the autopsy and will be carried to the attention of the public opinion.

    Le d?c?s mardi d'un plumeur de volailles, originaire de Casablanca, n'est pas d? au virus H5N1 de la grippe aviaire, a assur?, jeudi soir, le ministre de la Sant?, M. Mohamed Cheikh Biadillah.

    La cause exacte du d?c?s sera pr?cis?e par une autopsie ordonn?e par le procureur du Roi, a ajout? le ministre dans une d?claration ? la MAP.
    "La recherche du virus H5N1 par deux laboratoires diff?rents s'est av?r?e n?gative et une autopsie a ?t? ordonn?e par le procureur du Roi, dont les r?sultats sont attendus pour vendredi", a affirm? M. Biadillah.

    "Le d?funt, ?g? de 42 ans, originaire de Casablanca, plumeur de volailles, tabagique chronique, avait pr?sent? le 28 avril dernier, ? la suite d'un bain ? l'eau froide, une fi?vre et du crachat verd?tre", a pr?cis? le ministre.

    "Un traitement ? base d'antibiotiques a ?t? prescrit au malade mais en vain", a ajout? M. Biadillah, pr?cisant que "lors d'une deuxi?me consultation (29 avril), le malade a pr?sent? une g?ne respiratoire, des douleurs basithoraciques bilat?rales, mais n'avait plus de fi?vre".

    "Le 1er mai, le malade a pr?sent? l'h?moptysie, et la radiographie pulmonaire a montr? l'aspect d'une miliaire tuberculose", a affirm? le ministre, signalant que le m?decin lui a pr?scrit l'hospitalisation.

    Le malade est d?c?d? ? domicile le 2 mai ? 0 heure, a pr?cis? le ministre.

    "Il ne s'agit pas d'une atteinte par le virus H5N1", a r?affirm? le ministre, ajoutant que la cause exacte du d?c?s sera pr?cis?e par l'autopsie et sera port?e ? l'attention de l'opinion publique.
