    A mysterious disease whose origin is not yet clearly identified by the specialists in health currently prevails in the north of Ivory Coast.

    The medical situation in the north of Ivory Coast is alarming these days.
    A mysterious disease decimates populations, according to the ministry for health and the public health. Meningitis is also happening.

    The information relayed by the U.N. news service, IRIN, described the symptoms of the disease: sudden appearance of strong fever, pains with the blow and the chest, respiratory problem.

    Already, this unidentified disease, killed 31 people.

    More than 70 others are reached of this disease.

    The drama takes place in the village of Diobala, in the department of Séguéla. The authorities of the public health carry out investigations to dam up this mysterious plague.

    The populations of north are also struck by an epidemic of meningitis which makes rage lately.

    Victims are identify at the university Hospital complex of (CHU) of Bouaké.
    Since last 5 February, 36 cases of meningitis, including six mortals, were declared.

    The Office of the United Nations for the coordination of the humane businesses (OCHA) confirms this information, according to agency IRIN.

    The ministry for Health will launch in the next weeks, a campaign vaccination mainly in the area of Savannas and some districts of the area of Bouaké.
    It is indicated that the vaccines against meningitis currently available, are not very effective on the children of less than two years. The children are exposed to the disease.

    The experts stress that meningitis is propagated more quickly during the dry season, when the wind blows and that the temperatures are fresh. It is the period when the populations are more prone to the cold and the fever.
