How can you protect yourself and family from bird flu?
The following are simple precautions you can take to protect yourself and family against bird flu:
? Avoid touching, eating, selling or transporting sick or dead chicken and wild birds.
? Report such cases to the nearest veterinary or public health office, chief or other relevant local authorities.
? You can also call the following hot lines for help: 020-631639, 020-2718292, 0722726682,

? Do not sleep in the same house with chicken. Sleeping in the same house with chicken increases the possibility of contracting bird flu.
? Keep chicken in a separate structure away from residential houses.
