    Coronavirus in C?te d'Ivoire: 310 new cases, i.e. 11,504 in total as of July 8, 2020

    In C?te d'Ivoire, the Covid-19 pandemic is still spreading. As of July 8, 2020, the country had more than 11,000 cases, including 78 deaths.

    The Ministry of Health and Public Hygiene recorded this Wednesday, July 8, 2020, 310 new cases of Covid-19 out of 1,841 samples taken, representing 16.8% of positive cases, 84 cured and 2 deaths.

    We noted two deaths occurred at the Service of Infectious and Tropical Diseases of the CHU of Treichville and in the site of care of the CHU of Yopougon. These are two patients aged 69 and 68. The Minister of Health and Public Hygiene offers condolences to the grieving families.

    As of July 8, 2020, C?te d'Ivoire therefore has 11,504 confirmed cases, of which 5,571 were recovered, 78 died and 5,855 active cases. The total number of samples is 69,009.

    The Ministry of Health and Public Hygiene recalls that the pandemic is not over. He urges vulnerable populations, especially the elderly and people with chronic illnesses, to reduce their displacement in order to protect themselves and their health.

    The Minister of Health and Public Hygiene therefore calls for discipline and a sense of responsibility for everyone.

          Several senior Ivorian officials have been tested postive for the new coronavirus, Xinhua learned from an official source on Sunday.

          The president of the Ivorian Senate Jeannot-Ahoussou Kouadio was diagnosed positive for COVID-19 after medical examinations in Germany where he continues his treatment, according to a press release from the Senate.

          Another press release from the city's ministry revealed that Minister Fran?ois Amichia contracted the virus. "The Minister of the City Fran?ois Amichia has tested positive and has quarantined himself. His condition is stable. The Minister reminds everyone of the need to respect the barrier measures," said the text.

          As of July 12, C?te d'Ivoire has 12,766 confirmed cases including 6,654 people healed and 84 deaths.

          On several occasions, the Minister of Health and Public Hygiene has called on people to discipline and a sense of responsibility in order to prevent the spread of the disease.

            Abidjan, July 14, 2020 (AIP) - C?te d'Ivoire confirms 165 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, bringing its total number of infections to 13,037, said on Tuesday July 14, 2020, Ministry of Health and Public Hygiene in its daily report on the epidemiological situation.

            These new cases were listed on a sample of 682 tests, representing a positivity rate of 24.2%, said the Director General of Health, Prof Mamadou Samba.

            The number of deaths has increased by three, for a total of 87 while 6,908 people have recovered, including 98 in the last 24 hours, according to the health official.

            As of July 14, 6,042 patients are under treatment and the total number of laboratory tests is 77,996.

                    "Update on the situation of COVID-19 on 07/18/2020"

                    The Ministry of Health and Public Hygiene recorded today, Saturday July 18, 2020, 216 new cases of Covid-19 out of 1,237 samples taken, representing 17.5% of positive cases, 393 cured and 04 deaths.

                    We deplored 04 deaths. These are three (3) patients who died in public health establishments. They were respectively 80 years old who died on July 15, 50 years who died on July 17 and 67 years old that day. The fourth is a 72-year-old patient who died on July 17 in a private health facility.
                    The Minister of Health and Public Hygiene offers his condolences to the grieving families.

                    As of July 18, C?te d'Ivoire has 13,912 confirmed cases, including 8,000 recovered, 91 deaths and 5,821 active cases. The total number of samples is 82,616.

                    The Minister of Health and Public Hygiene recalls that the pandemic is not over. He urges people to strictly respect barrier measures including washing hands with soap and water, physical distance and wearing masks when we are in public places to protect ourselves and others.
