By Fred BIHINA | Cameroon-Info.Net
YAOUNDE - 11-Jun-2020 - 2:49 p.m. 1515
The Minister of Public Health presented, this June 11, 2020, the latest figures of the pandemic in our country.
It’s now a ritual! Every Thursday, the Prime Minister assesses the government's response to COVID-19. During the meeting of June 11, 2020, chaired by Joseph Dion Ngute by videoconference, the Minister of Public Health, Malachie Manaouda, as usual presented the latest figures of the pandemic in our country.
To date, Cameroon has recorded 8,743 reported cases of Coronavirus, including 5,474 remissions and 270 deaths. This makes a fatality rate of 3%. Paul Biya’s country is the 4th most affected in sub-Saharan Africa behind South Africa, Nigeria and Ghana. Our country is the main focus of the pandemic in Central Africa.
Despite these figures, the government keeps the same communication line: the situation is under control. The authorities reiterate the need for the populations to respect the barrier measures.
