Coronavirus (COVID-19) in Burkina Faso

As of September 8, 2020, the situation of the Coronavirus disease in Burkina Faso is as follows:
627 samples analyzed, divided into:
- 377 travel screening tests;
- 153 passenger tests;
- 43 contact case tests;
- 24 voluntary screening tests;
- 07 health worker tests;
- 07 tests of suspected cases;
- 16 control tests;
Number of new confirmed cases: 10, including 01 imported case and 09 with community transmissions (06 in Ouagadougou, 02 in Banfora, 01 in Bobo-Dioulasso and 01 in Gaoua);
Number of healings: 05, total healings, 1,123;
Number of deaths: 00, total deaths, 56;
Number of active cases: 307;
Number of cases confirmed since March 9, 2020: 1,486 including 509 women and 977 men.

The government thanks all stakeholders for their commitment and determination in the fight against COVID-19.

The government recalls that the alleviation of the measures enacted is not synonymous with relaxation and urges the population to strictly comply with barrier gestures to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus disease.
