“Diphtheria has been formally identified. We are around 20 deaths. For the cases followed, we have about 109,” the senior adviser to the Minister of Health, Dr Bachir Kanté, told Africaguinee.com.
Since its detection in July 2023, the Ministry of Health and Public Hygiene has reactivated its epidemiological care operations centers.
“ The emergency operations center is set in motion to take care of patients who are mainly children. Today, care is effective in the epidemiological treatment centers at the level of the prefectural hospitals.
