    Morocco’s Third COVID-19 Wave Swells, 3,940 New Cases Reported
    As families gather for Eid al Adha, Morocco faces the highest number of new daily cases since early December 2020.

    Rabat - Morocco’s third wave of infections continues to rise as public health officials reported another 3,940 new cases and 12 related deaths over the past 24 hours.

    Morocco continues to break its own 2021 COVID-19 records as new daily cases continue to rise. The country currently has 20,232 active cases, as new cases are now more than double the number of recoveries, of which 1,812 were reported.

    More and more hospital beds in Morocco are filling up with COVID-19 patients. After a relatively quiet few months, 16.7% of intensive care beds are now occupied by patients suffering from symptoms of the virus.

    Morocco’s hospitals are currently providing care for 527 severe cases across the country’s hospitals, with 320 patients on breathing support.

    Amid a public health crisis, the government is continuing to vaccinate citizens at a rapid pace. 11,555,970 citizens and residents have now received their first dose, and 9,736,641 people are now fully vaccinated amid rumors of a possible third “booster” shot being considered...

    COVID-19: Record High 9,428 New Cases in Morocco in 24 Hours
    Morocco's steadily increasing hospital occupancy rate is another alarming indicator of the deteriorating epidemiological situation, which now rests at over 25%.

    Rabat - Reaching the highest number of recorded daily cases, Moroccan health authorities have registered 9,428 new COVID-19 infections in the last 24 hours.

    The most recent surge in cases has brought the case count to a total of 597,876 infections since the outbreak began. Moroccan authorities also announced 27 deaths, adding to a total of 9,665, in addition to 1,766 recoveries. There are currently 37,329 active cases in Morocco.

    In the last week, the daily infections have jumped from 3,940 cases on July 21, to nearly 10,000 over the last 24 hours. Hospital occupancy rate was 12.2% two weeks ago, on July 14, but it significantly increased since then, currently resting at 25.6%. The data represents an unprecedented deterioration of Morocco's epidemiological situation.

    There are a total of 810 patients in critical condition, of which 169 were from the last 24 hours. Meanwhile, there are 443 people under artificial respiration, with 23 under intubation and 420 with non-invasive ventilation...

      Record High 10,603 COVID-19 cases, 66 Deaths in Morocco in 24 Hours
      Morocco is expecting a COVID-19 wave peak in the coming days.

      Rabat - Health professionals announced a record high number of COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours.

      The ministry of health confirmed 10,603 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total cases since the beginning of the pandemic to 653,286 as of August 4.

      The ministry also recorded 66 deaths in 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 10,015.

      Number of recoveries also jumped to 582,692 after 7,774 patients were declared COVID-19 free in the past 24 hours.

      The number of active cases, however, remarkably increased to reach 60,579 in just a couple of weeks.

      The number of patients in critical conditions is estimated at 1,304.

      The fatality rate reached 1.5% while recovery rate is at 89.2%.

      The Casablanca-Settat region recorded the majority of cases (3,523) in 24 hours, followed by Marrakech-Safi (1,480), Rabat-Sale-Kenitra (1,318), and Souss-Massa (1,153).

      Morocco’s Ministry of Health warned on Tuesday that the COVID-19 wave will be on its peak in the next coming days...

        Morocco Records 11,358 COVID-19 Cases, 8,916 Recoveries in 24 Hours
        Morocco records over 10,000 confirmed COVID-19 cases for the third time in the past week

        Rabat - Morocco’s Ministry of Health announced 11,358 new confirmed COVID-19 cases in Morocco on August 6, 2021. In addition, the ministry noted 8,916 recoveries and 76 deaths.

        Morocco reported a recordbreaking 12,039 cases yesterday, which has forced the government to increase COVID-19 restrictive measures.

        On Tuesday, the country reimposed its night curfew of 9 p.m to 5 a.m and also introduced new travel restrictions for travelers entering and exiting the three cities of Casablanca, Agadir, and Marrakech.


        According to the official COVID-19 report, the ministry stated that Morocco has recorded a total of 676,683 COVID-19 cases since the start of the pandemic. The kingdom has also recorded a total of 10,163 deaths and 598,958 recoveries.

        Hospitals in Morocco currently care for 1,541 severely impacted COVID-19 patients, of which 309 require emergency ventilation, and 1,010 require supplementary oxygen. COVID-19 units in Moroccan hospitals are currently at 43% capacity and the statistic has continued to rise rapidly daily...

          COVID-19: Morocco Registers 9,703 New Cases, 103 Deaths
          Morocco’s daily testing numbers have remained mostly consistent over the last couple of weeks.

          Rabat - Morocco’s health authorities have registered 9,703 COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, pushing the total number of cases to 782,097.

          Morocco tested 46,396 people in the last 24 hours, consistent with daily test figures over the last couple of weeks, according to the latest figures made available by the Moroccan Ministry of Health.

          The same data indicates that there have been 9,703 new cases, 103 new deaths, and 7,197 new recoveries in the last 24 hours. Overall, it brings the number to a total of 782,097 cases, 11,345 deaths, and 688,902 of total recoveries since the outbreak began last year. At the moment the number of active cases stands at 81,850.

          Currently there are 2,295 people in severe or critical conditions, out of which 379 are new cases from the last 24 hours. There are currently 1,315 people who are under some form of artificial respiration, with 1,238 being connected to non-invasive respiration and 77 under intubation.

          Hospital occupancy rate in Morocco has grown to 48.4%, compared to 43.4% a week ago on August 11, while the incidence per 100,000 inhabitants stands at 2,143 people...
