As of July 8, Vietnam’s Ministry of Health’s tally of confirmed cases of COVID-19 remained at 369. However, 342 of the affected patients have recovered and been discharged from hospitals.

ZERO COVID-19 DEATHS IN VIETNAM

Vietnam has been lauded as an emerging COVID-19 success story with the country reporting low case counts and no coronavirus-related deaths during the country’s outbreak.
This Outbreak Thursday, we are going to take a closer look at the country’s response in order to better understand its success in controlling its epidemic as well as how the country plans to maintain that control in the future.

As of July 21, Vietnam’s Ministry of Health confirmed a total of 396 cases of COVID-19. However, 360 of the affected patients have recovered and been discharged from hospitals. The latest twelve cases were Vietnamese nationals returning from Russia.

Vietnam to evacuate 80,000 people from Danang after COVID-19 outbreak
HANOI: Vietnam is evacuating 80,000 people, mostly local tourists, from the central tourism hotspot of Danang after three residents tested positive for the coronavirus at the weekend, the government said on Monday (Jul 27).
The evacuation will take at least four days with domestic airlines operating approximately 100 flights daily from Danang to 11 Vietnamese cities, the government said in a statement.

Vietnam confirmed four new COVID-19 transmissions in the community on July 29 evening, bringing the total number of infections nationwide to 450, according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

The number of people who tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 which causes the COVID-19 in Vietnam has exceeded the 500 mark, after 45 new community transmissions were reported in the central city of Da Nang, the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control announced on July 31 morning.
The total tally of infections now stands at 509, including 276 imported cases who have been quarantined upon their arrival.

Another 30 COVID-19 cases confirmed on August 2 evening
Vietnam recorded 30 new COVID-19 cases on August 2, raising the national tally to 620 as of August 2, according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.
