Mississippi reports second coronavirus death
Another person has died from the coronavirus in Mississippi.

JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) - The state of Mississippi reported its second death from the coronavirus, the Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) confirmed Wednesday morning.
The victim, a 60-65-year-old man, was from Holmes County and had underlying health conditions. Holmes County is located just west of Kosciusko.

Third coronavirus death reported in Mississippi

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – The Mississippi State Department of Health is reporting a third death from the coronavirus in Mississippi.
The case was a male 65-70 years old from Webster County with underlying health conditions. He died while hospitalized.

The rapid spread of coronavirus in New Orleans has residents escaping to Hancock County, Waveland, Pass Christian and surrounding communities in Mississippi.
“We have major concerns because they have the fastest growing number of cases of this virus and we are the closet to them,” said Bay St. Louis Mayor Mike Favre. “Now, we do have a large amount of second homeowners from New Orleans in our community, but we are seeing way more now with Louisiana shutting down.”
Favre said he and other city leaders are worried the number of coronavirus cases may go up in South Mississippi if more people from New Orleans are in the area.

Death toll now up to five due to Coronavirus

Tonight the Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) reports two new deaths from coronavirus (COVID-19) in Mississippi.
The cases were a Wilkinson County male 85-90 years old with underlying conditions who died while hospitalized, and a Tunica County female 75-80 who died in a long-term care facility....

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - The number of presumed positive coronavirus cases in Mississippi is now at 1,073.
The Mississippi Department of Health confirmed 136 new cases and two new deaths on Tuesday morning. So far, 22 people have died from COVID-19 in Mississippi.
The amount of people tested at MSDH Public Health Laboratory is 4,785 as of Monday evening.
