....The body of a 59-year-old Worcester man who died on a flight from Dubai to Boston will be tested for coronavirus, Massachusetts State Police said.

Troopers were called around 12:30 p.m. Friday and were told a passenger was in cardiac arrest aboard Emirates Flight EK237 that left Dubai and was heading to Boston.

The Worcester man left Boston and headed to Chennai, India on March 4. He then had a layover in Dubai before his flight home, authorities said

Massachusetts reports 33 more coronavirus cases as vaccine testing begins

BOSTON —

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health reported 33 new coronavirus cases across the state as of Monday afternoon.

The total number of presumptive and confirmed COVID-19 cases rose from 164 on Sunday to a new total of 197 cases, all of which are now categorized as confirmed per guidance from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The DPH said 100 COVID-19 cases are associated with a meeting of executives of the firm Biogen at a Boston hotel last month and the origins of 51 cases are still under investigation...

Massachusetts officials confirmed on Sunday three more coronavirus related deaths, bringing the state’s total to five.

All three of the casualties were men over the age of 70 who had been hospitalized, according to a statement. One man, who was in his 90s, was from Suffolk county. The other two were from Hampden and Berkshire counties.

Berkshire County Sees First COVID-19 Death

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health says a Berkshire County man is the first in the region to die of COVID-19.

The man is described as being in his 70s and having "an underlying health condition." He had been hospitalized with the virus, as were two other men who died Sunday — one in his 70s from Hampden County and one in his 90s from Suffolk County.

In total, five people have died of coronavirus in the commonwealth...
