1000 Louisiana National Guard members activated to work food banks, mobile testing sites, law enforcement - March 31, 2020
About 750 members of the Louisiana National Guard have been activated in the crisis, to work at food banks, mobile testing sites, temporary hospitals and assist local law enforcement, said Col. Edward Bush, a public affairs officer with the Louisiana National Guard. Another 300 people who work full-time in the Guard are also assisting on the frontlines of the public health crisis.
