    Three new cases of COVID-19 coronavirus have been confirmed in Jefferson, Fayette and Harrison counties, Gov. Andy Beshear said Sunday evening.

    About an hour and a half prior to the governor’s broadcast, the state lab in Frankfort confirmed three new positive cases of the novel coronavirus.

    “All of the individuals are in isolation,” he said. “We will have no more information on these cases at this time because this is that new.”

    Beshear said this brings Kentucky to a total of four cases across the state: Two in Harrison County, one in Jefferson and one in Fayette County...

    FRANKFORT, Ky. — Kentucky officials have confirmed the first case of COVID-19 in the state.

    Gov. Andy Beshear confirmed the case was in Lexington, and the person is isolated in a medical facility. He did not release any other information about the person.

    Beshear also declared a state of emergency, but said the threat to the general population is low. The state of emergency, Beshear said, is to ensure the state has the necessary resources needed to respond to coronavirus...
