...All three victims were adult men, one in his 80s and two in their 50s. Two passed away on Sunday, March 15 after being hospitalized on March 7 and March 12 respectively. A third died Tuesday, after being hospitalized on March 9.

RIVERSIDE (CBSLA) — Western Riverside County has its first two cases of coronavirus, Public Health Officer Dr. Cameron Kaiser said Tuesday.
Kaiser also confirmed Riverside County’s third death connected to COVID-19. The individual was from the Coachella Valley, where nearly all of the county’s cases were concentrated before Tuesday’s announcement.

Coronavirus cases in California have rocketed to 757, with 13 people in the Golden State now confirmed to have died of the disease. Washington and New York lead the way with the most cases but California has closed the gap with confirmed cases now standing at 757, an increase of 50 in the last 24 hours.
The largest concentration of cases is around the San Francisco bay, with Sacramento and San Jose particularly affected...

...During a visit to South Bay fuel cell company Bloom Energy, which has shifted its operations to refurbishing ventilators to treat COVID-19 patients, Newsom said 410 people with the virus are now in ICUs across California, up from 200 on Friday.
The number of people hospitalized with coronavirus grew by nearly 40 percent, from 746 people Friday to 1,034 Saturday, Newsom said, with nearly 4,000 more patients who might have COVID-19 awaiting test results.
“I know there is a lot of appropriate attention on how many (confirmed cases) there are,” Newsom said. “We look less to those numbers, more to the hospitalization and ICU numbers to drive our policy.”
