    There were 120 new local cases of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) announced on Wednesday, raising the total to 1,771, while the death toll went up by two to 12.

    The daily increase was slightly lower than the 127 new cases reported on Tuesday, the 136 new cases reported on Monday and the 143 cases reported on Sunday. The biggest daily jump to date has been the 188 new cases reported on March 22, according to the Department of Disease Control, which provides an English-language timeline and map of cases in Thailand....

      Dr Taweesin Visanuyothin, spokesman of the government's Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration, said one of the three deaths was a Thai man, 57, who returned from Pakistan and died on a south-bound train from Bangkok to Sungai Kolok while in Prachuap Khiri Khan province on Monday...

          Thailand now has an ‘official’ total of 2067 Covid-19 coronavirus cases, with 89 new cases confirmed over the last 24 hours and 1 new death reported. Total reported deaths now stand at 20. A spokesman for the government’s newly formed Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration, made the announcement today (Saturday).

          This is the lowest daily number in some time, perhaps indicating a downward trend in daily cases after Thailand set in place many new restrictions in recent weeks. 104 new cases were reported yesterday. 612 cases have fully recovered and have been released from hospital...

            "We have registered 102 new cases of the infection. Three more people have died. The COVID-19 toll since the outbreak's start in Thailand is now 2,169 and the death toll is 23," the response center's spokesman, Taweesin Wisanuyothin, said at a briefing.

                              Thailand reported 28 new coronavirus infections on Monday, for a total of 2,579 cases, a health official said. There were 2 more deaths, taking the nation's toll to 40.

                              A milestone in Sunday statistics was the cumulative number of recovered patients (1,288) exceeded the number of those remaining in hospital (1,251) for the first time, according to the data at the Public Health Ministry’s Covid-19 website.

                              One of the deaths on Sunday was a 56-year-old Thai man with a history of contact with existing patients. The other was a 43-year-old man with diabetes, chronic kidney failure and high blood pressure.

                              Of the 28 new cases reported on Monday, 18 had been in contact with existing patients or were linked to places where they had been, including two Thai nationals in Phuket.
