    Jan 28, Colombo: All Sri Lankan students arriving from Wuhan, China will be moved to and screened at the Diyathalawa army camp for a period of two weeks, Minister of Health Pavithra Wanniarachchi said.

    Addressing a news conference at the Department of Government Information in Colombo this morning the Minister said every measures have been taken to prevent the spreading of new coronavirus in the country and on the instructions of President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa all sections have been briefed to take necessary measures to control the situation.

    Minister Wanniarachchi further stated that every passenger arriving in Sri Lanka will be screened at the airport and those who have high body temperature and show symptoms of coronavirus will be directed to the Infectious Disease Hospital (IDH) and other relevant hospitals.

    The Health Minister said the 12-member national action committee appointed by the President to prevent the spread of coronavirus in Sri Lanka convenes daily to discuss the steps that should be taken to control the situation in the island...
