Jeju, Yonhap News Agency, February 3rd. The Jeju government of South Korea announced on the 3rd that a Chinese woman from Wuhan was diagnosed with the new crown virus after returning home from Jeju. She had bought antipyretics during her stay in Jeju. The provincial government believes that she may have symptoms of infection during her stay in Jeju and is currently identifying people who have been in close contact with her in Jeju.
The Jeju-do government stated that the above confirmed cases had taken a Chinese Spring and Autumn Airlines flight to Jeju Airport on January 21 and checked into a local hotel in Liandong. On the 22nd, she and 8 other Chinese tourists took a chartered tour of the 1100 Highlands, Udo, and Seongsan Ilchulbong, Seogwipo. On the 23rd, after walking from the hotel to the Shilla Duty Free Shop and Lotte Duty Free Jeju Store, she took the city bus to Qixing Road Shopping Street, a shopping street in the old town of Jeju City, and then returned to her residence by taking the city bus again.
She did not show symptoms of infection during her stay in Jeju, but developed fever symptoms on the 26th after returning to Yangzhou, China. However, during the process of confirming her trajectory, she found that she purchased a heat analgesic at a pharmacy in Liandong, Jeju City in the afternoon of the 24th. The pharmacist at the pharmacy said that she took out the medicine she took with her after entering the pharmacy and found that it was an antipyretic or antipyretic medicine containing antipyretics. Therefore, the Jeju provincial government believes that she may have cough, sputum and other symptoms during her stay in Jeju, and is currently identifying people who have been in close contact with her in Jeju.
The pharmacy is currently closed. It is reported that after purchasing antipyretic analgesics on the 24th, she took a bus tour of the 1100 Highland and the Rainbow Coast Highway in Datou-dong, Jeju City, ate lunch at a nearby cafe, and then returned to the hotel by bus. In the evening, dine at a restaurant near the hotel, walk to a convenience store and pharmacy on the way, and then return to the hotel.
On the morning of the 25th, she and her daughter took the city bus to Jeju Airport, and then returned to Yangzhou by Spring Airlines flight.
The Jeju Provincial Government said that five of the contacts in the hotel where the case stayed for five days have taken home isolation measures. Workers who had been quarantined at the airport were tested for fever and showed negative results. In addition, the Shilla Duty Free Shop and Lotte Duty Free Jeju Store visited in this case were temporarily closed. (Finish)
