South Korea said Tuesday it has found nine more wild boars infected with African swine fever in areas near the border with North Korea, bringing the total number of cases to 430.
Eight corpses were found in different areas near the border in Gyeonggi and Gangwon provinces, according to the National Institute of Environmental Research under the Ministry of Environment.

Reporter Kim Soo-hyun = The National Institute of Environmental Science of the Ministry of Environment announced on the 31st that the African swine fever (ASF) virus was detected in three boar dead bodies found in the civilian access control line (Private Line) in Bangmok-ri, Paju-si, Gyeonggi-do.
ASF confirmed this in boar, which has increased to 470 cases.
In Paju, it increased by 3 to 85.
An official from the Environmental Sciences Institute said, "All these dead bodies were found by farmers in the mountains and around the rice paddies." SEOUL — South Korea has reported additional cases of African swine fever (ASF) in a northeastern county where the country’s first outbreak for the year was reported, the provincial government said Sunday.
Following the report of the first case last week, samples from a neighboring pig farm in Hwacheon tested positive for the disease, according to the Gangwon provincial government.
The country reported its first ASF case since October 2019 on Friday at a farm in Hwacheon, 120 kilometers east of Seoul.
However, nearly 800 cases have been found in wild boars near the inter-Korean border area since last year...
