Oman: Covid-19 cases and news - 88,337 cases; 536 deaths
Muscat, February 24 (ONA) / The Ministry of Health announced today the registration of the first two positive cases of coronavirus infection for two Omani women submitted by
the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The Ministry reports that the two injured citizens are in stable condition and subject to
quarantine.
The Ministry calls upon everyone to adhere to the quarantine procedures for all travelers
coming from countries where new cases of coronavirus
have been registered and to avoid traveling to countries where cases of this virus have been registered
except for the most urgent need.
It also calls on everyone to maintain public health, follow healthy habits
when coughing and sneezing, reduce shaking hands, and avoid kissing and
grit on social occasions.

Muscat, February 25 / Oman / The Ministry of Health announced the registration of two
new cases of coronavirus virus 2019 related to travel to
the Islamic Republic of Iran, bringing the number of cases registered in the Sultanate

The Ministry recommends avoiding traveling to countries where cases
of the 2019 Coronavirus (COVID) virus have been declared except in cases of
extreme necessity.
The Ministry of Health calls upon travelers from countries infected with

Ministry's call center so that they can be instructed regarding quarantine procedures for a period of
fourteen days and to follow other preventive measures.

Muscat, February 27 / Oman / The Ministry of Health announced the registration of
a new case of coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) related
to travel to the Islamic Republic of Iran, bringing the number of cases registered
in the Sultanate (5) to date and all cases are in stable health There are no deaths.
The Ministry calls upon everyone to maintain hand-washing with water and soap, or to
disinfect them with alcohol-approved hand sanitizer, and to follow healthy habits
when coughing and sneezing, and to reduce handshaking and avoid kissing and grit on
social occasions.
The ministry also requests everyone to avoid paying attention to rumors and take the information
from its authenticated source.
Muscat, Mar 2 (ONA) --- Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed al-Saidi, Minister of Health explained that the Sultanate has registered six confirmed cases of coronavirus, where two of them have recovered fully.
The ministry strengthened health procedures at all points of entry and implemented institutional or home quarantine in all the Sultanate's Governorates, based on assessment case by case. As of March 2, 2020, 2367 persons are currently under the quarantine procedures including 49 in the institutional quarantine and 2318 in home quarantine. Furthermore, the Ministry has developed a comprehensive guide on the institutional and home quarantine and provided the required medical consult and care for the quarantined individuals.

Oman to close borders to everyone except GCC residents from Tuesday
Only GCC residents will be allowed to enter Oman from Tuesday as the Sultanate intends to close its borders to mitigate the spread of coronavirus.
The decision was taken by the Supreme Committee as the number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the country increased to 22 on Sunday.
Anyone eligible, wishing to enter Oman from Tuesday, including Omanis, whether by land, sea, or through the airports, will be placed under quarantine. ..
