    PUTRAJAYA: The number of fully-recovered Covid-19 patients in Malaysia has increased to 15 after two more confirmed cases were given a clean bill of health and discharged from the Sungai Buloh Hospital today.

    Health Minister Dzulkefly Ahmad said the two cases were the 17th and 18th cases tested positive for Covid-19 on Feb 9...

      KUALA LUMPUR: With two more COVID-19 patients in Malaysia discharged on Wednesday (Feb 19), only five remained in the hospitals, Health Minister Dzulkefly Ahmad said.

      It was also the fifth consecutive day of zero new cases, since an American octogenarian aboard cruise liner MS Westerdam tested positive for the novel coronavirus in Kuala Lumpur on Feb 15.

      The number of confirmed cases remained at 22, with a total of 17 recovered cases...

          KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia recorded a new Covid-19 case today, in the form of a 53-year-old woman who had just returned from Japan.

          The Health Ministry said the Malaysian, who is the country’s 23rd case, had returned from Japan on Feb 23 after which she had a fever.

            PETALING JAYA: The health ministry today reported that a Japanese woman and an Italian man living in Malaysia have tested positive for Covid-19.

            These bring the total number of cases to 25.

            Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the 41-year-old Japanese woman who works in Malaysia had travelled to Japan in January and Indonesia early this month.

            “She is now being treated in an isolation ward in Hospital Kuala Lumpur,” he said in a statement today.

            The 54-year-old Italian man, meanwhile, had travelled for work to Italy earlier this month. He has been admitted to an isolation ward in Hospital Sungai Buloh for treatment and observation...

              Malaysia's health ministry says four new cases of coronavirus confirmed

              KUALA LUMPUR (Reuters) - Malaysia’s health ministry said on Sunday the country has four new confirmed cases of coronavirus, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 29.

              All of the new cases were Malaysians, two of whom had travel history to China and Italy.

              Of Malaysia’s total cases, 22 patients have recovered and been discharged from hospital.

                KUALA LUMPUR: The Ministry of Health (MoH) confirmed four new Covid-19 coronavirus cases in Malaysia today, bringing the tally of infections to 29.

                In a statement, its director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said that all the new cases are Malaysians between the ages of 20 and 52.

                  PETALING JAYA: All seven new Covid-19 cases reported were found to have been in close contact with the country’s 26th patient – an Uda Holdings Bhd board member, says the Health Ministry.

                  This brings the total number of cases to 36 yesterday.

                  Among the seven included a paramedic who provided aid to him, said Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah in a Facebook post.

                  “Case 34 is a local man, aged 40. The patient is a paramedic and had provided treatment to the 26th case. He has no history of overseas travel. He was confirmed positive on March 3 and has been admitted to the Sungai Buloh Hospital, ” he said in the Facebook post.

                  Patients 30 and 35 were found to have travelled to Australia recently, while patient 33 attended a meeting in Kuching on Feb 16.

                  Dr Noor Hisham said that patients 31 and 32 have no record of overseas travel.

                  All patients have been admitted to the Sungai Buloh and Kuala Lumpur hospitals...

                          PETALING JAYA: The Health Ministry has detected ten new Covid-19 cases as of Saturday (March 7), bringing the total number of cases in Malaysia to 93.

                          Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said all of the cases have been identified and the patients are currently under treatment.

                          "All the new cases recorded today are due to close contact with case number 33, where four cases, which are cases 85,86,87, and 93, were first-generation close contacts with case 33," he said in a statement on Saturday.

                            All of the new cases reported today comprised close contacts of the cluster linked to the 26th case, he said in a statement today.

                            He said all the cases were detected during contact tracking activities and they were admitted to the hospital for isolation and further treatment.

                                2 more church members down with Covid-19

                                PETALING JAYA: A church in Puchong has confirmed that another two of its members have tested positive for the Covid-19 coronavirus.

                                The Archdiocese of Kuala Lumpur website said two members of the

                                Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe (OLOG), who were in close contact with the first confirmed case in the parish, had been tested positive for Covid-19.
