    • Coronavirus in Italy, 629 new cases and 4 deaths in the last 24 hours

In Italy, since the beginning of the coronavirus epidemic, at least 253,438 people (+629 compared to yesterday, + 0.2%; yesterday +574) have contracted the Sars-CoV-2 virus: therefore, the growth of cases continues , which in recent days has prompted the Ministry of Health and the Higher Institute of Health to talk about a new alert, and the government to launch some restrictive measures (and to hypothesize others). Concern is particularly high in view of the upcoming reopening of schools.

Of the infected people, 35,392 died (+158: but in the last 24 hours there are 4 deaths, while 154 deaths were recorded today by the Emilia-Romagna Region alone, although relative to the past months, yesterday +3) and 203,640 were discharged (+314, yesterday +403). Currently the positive subjects of which there is certainty are 14,406 (+157; yesterday +168); the bill rises to 253,438 - as mentioned above - if there are also dead and cured people in the calculation, that is, counting all the people who have been found positive for the virus since the beginning of the epidemic.

There were 764 hospitalized patients with symptoms (-7, 0.9-%; yesterday -15), of which 55 in intensive care (-1, -1.8%; yesterday +1).

This is the map of the contagion in Italy. Here the bulletins of the past few days.

The data provided below, and broken down by Region, is that of the total cases (number of people found positive since the beginning of the epidemic: includes deaths and recovered). The photo above shows that of the currently positive subjects. The variation indicates the number of new cases registered in the last 24 hours. Where the percentage increase is not indicated, the figure is less than 0.1%.
