      Coronavirus cases rise to 40 in India, 19 from Delhi-NCR
      India had earlier reported three cases of coronavirus, all from Kerala, who recovered successfully.

      With fresh cases of coronavirus arising on Sunday, the number of positive cases across the country has gone up to 40. The maximum number of confirmed coronavirus cases has been reported from the National Capital Region - as many as 19.

      A Delhi resident, who had a travel history to Italy was the first one to test positive from the region. The largest chunk of those who tested positive for the virus in Delhi/NCR comes from a group of Italian nationals who were confirmed for the virus at ITBP’s quarantine facility in Chhawla, Delhi last week. As many as 14 Italian tourists, along with an Indian national, had confirmed positive for the virus. The group had travelled to Rajasthan wherein two other Italian tourists tested positive for coronavirus in Jaipur.

      A Paytm employee from Gurugram, a person in Ghaziabad and a man from Uttam Nagar also tested positive for coronavirus earlier this week from the NCR region...

            The total number of coronavirus cases in India has risen to 59 on Tuesday with fresh cases reported in Kerala, Karnata and Maharashtra.

            According to reports, 12 more people have tested positive for coronavirus in the country including 6 in Kerala and 3 each in Karnataka and Pune.

            Amid COVID-19 or coronavirus scare, a combination of two anti-HIV drugs has been used for the first time in India in the treatment of two patients.

            A media report quoted the union health ministry as saying that the total number of confirmed cases has risen to 50, adding the rest are being retested for confirmation.

              New Delhi, March 11 (IANS): The number of novel coronavirus cases in India mounted to 62 as 12 new confirmed cases were reported on Tuesday.

              "Among the new cases, eight were reported on Wednesday from Kerala and one each from Rajasthan and Delhi. The total cases in the country include three Kerala patients who have recovered and have been discharged from the hospital," the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said on Wednesday.

              In the evening, Mumbai went into high alert after two persons tested positive for coronavirus, taking the total afflicted in the state to seven, including five in Pune...

                  76-year-old Karnataka man first to die of coronavirus in India

                      A 69-year old woman, mother of a Janakpuri patient, tested positive for Covid-19 yesterday died at Dr RML hospital on Friday.
                      India recorded its first case of coronavirus caused death in Karnataka on Thursday with the passing away of a 76-year-old man on Tuesday who had tested positive after his return from Saudi Arabia.

                          Kottayam: An elderly man, who was a neighbour of a coronavirus patient at Chengalam here and under home quarantine, died on Friday en route to hospital and authorities are awaiting the post-mortem report and test results of samples to confirm the cause of death.

                          Kottayam district collector P K Sudheer Babu said the deceased did not show any signs of the virus and a preliminary medical examination showed that the death had occurred due to heart attack. He said the deceased was a "secondary contact" of the infected person.

                              Coronavirus cases in India have risen to 107, with the largest spike coming from Maharashtra, the ministry of health's website showed on Sunday.

                              The largest spike came from Maharashtra, where figures went from 19 to 31.

                              The number of cases includes the two people who died in Delhi and Karnataka.

                                Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh government and administration are on alert mode in view of increasing cases of corona virus. Lucknow administration has vigorously ordered legal action against those who do not cooperate in the prevention of corona virus. The District Magistrate said that if any suspected patient of Corona virus or a person with contact does not get the investigation done and does not cooperate with the team that came to investigate, then it is considered as an accused of obstructing the environment by obstructing it. An FIR will be lodged in the police station concerned. Under this, there can be imprisonment for up to six months, fine of one thousand rupees or both.

                                Order for formation of 'Rapid Response Team'
                                In the high level meeting chaired by District Magistrate Abhishek Prakash, necessary orders have been given regarding the corona virus. For the prevention of corona virus, a 'Rapid Response Team' has been ordered. The response team includes district administration, police administration, municipal corporation officials and medical and health department doctors.
                                The city is divided into 8 zones, teams are being formed for each zone. Instructions have been given to form a separate team for the rural area. A link hospital will be identified in each zone.

                                Instructions for arranging sanitation
                                The District Magistrate has given instructions to make the name and token number displayed on the LED, instead of getting the line of patients in the OPD of the hospitals, along with making arrangements for cleanliness in the districts. Instructions have been given to make people aware on all public places ranging from recreation sites, railways, transport and airports. Orders have also been made to arrange sanitizers at all crowded places, shopping malls, places of business activities.


                                Corona confirmed among 12 people in UP
                                In Uttar Pradesh, corona has been confirmed in total 12 so far. Till March 11, 9 tests were positive, while today the number of 1 has increased. Corona has been confirmed in 7 patients in Agra, 2 in Ghaziabad, 1 in Noida and 2 in Lucknow.
                                In Lucknow, 11 more Corona suspects have been admitted. So far, a total of 598 tests have been found negative while 107 tests are being awaited. So far, thermal scanning has been done on 19,473 at the airport, while over 12 lakh 81 thousand people have been scanned on the Indo-Nepal border. A total of 14 corona suspects are admitted in Uttar Pradesh today.
