This Sunday, Ecuador reports 50,640 confirmed cases of COVID-19, according to statistics released by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP).

Quito, Jun 30 (EFE) .- Ecuador registered 56,342 positives for COVID-19 on Tuesday, 677 more cases than the previous day, while the deceased amounted to 4,527 officers and 3,071 probable, according to the official daily report issued by the Ministry of Public Health.

Since the first case of coronavirus was reported on February 29, a total of 147,212 tests have been performed in Ecuador, both PCR and rapid, with which 79,140 cases have been ruled out.

The official and probable death figures do not include the 10,000 deaths that were recorded in the city of Guayaquil between the second half of March and the first of April, in the worst humanitarian crisis experienced by the country's main economic city.
