Japan's Covid-19 infections increase to 468

TOKYO: Japan is stepping up efforts to contain the spread of Covid-19 (coronavirus) as the number of confirmed cases rose to 468 as of 7pm (local time) on Sunday (March 8), with the northernmost prefecture of Hokkaido remaining in a state of emergency.

Among the confirmed cases, 454 people were infected domestically while 14 are returnees by chartered flights, according to data from public broadcaster NHK...

About death of patient related to new type coronavirus (the seventh case)

Today (March 8), Aichi Prefecture reported a fatal case related to this new type of coronavirus. I pray for the soul of the deceased.

With this announcement, seven people have died in Japan.
