Twenty-six new cases of COVID-19 in Nova Scotia have been identified, bringing the province's total to 173.

Of the 26 new cases, one is a staff member at The Magnolia, bringing the total to three staff members and two residents with COVID-19 at the Enfield residential care home, the Health Department said in a news release. The residents are in isolation and staff members are self-isolating at home. ..

...To date, Nova Scotia has 6,591 negative test results and 173 confirmed cases.

The 173 people range in age from under 10 to over 80. Five of those people are currently in hospital, while 11 people have recovered and their cases of COVID-19 are considered resolved...

As of today, April 2, Nova Scotia has 193 confirmed cases of COVID-19. Twenty new cases were identified Wednesday, April 1, and 900 COVID-19 tests were completed at the QEII Health Sciences Centre's microbiology lab.

While most cases in Nova Scotia are connected to travel or a known case, as reported previously, there is one confirmed case of community transmission and more cases are expected to present.

To date, Nova Scotia has 7,446 negative test results and 193 confirmed cases. Those cases range in age from under ten to over 80. Five individuals are currently in hospital. Sixteen individuals have now recovered and their cases of COVID-19 are considered resolved. Cases have been identified in all parts of the province. There are now 207 cases of the novel coronavirus in Nova Scotia, as the province announced 14 additional cases on Friday.

According to a news release, the 14 new cases were identified after almost 900 tested were completed at the QEII Health Sciences Centre’s microbiology lab on Thursday.

“While most cases in Nova Scotia are connected to travel or a known case, as reported previously, there is one confirmed case of community transmission and more cases are expected to present,” the province said in the release...

...A rise of 29 cases also was announced Saturday, the largest single-day jump so far during the pandemic. The increase brings the total in Nova Scotia to 236 cases.

Most of the cases, 154, are in the central zone while there are 35 cases in the western zone, 23 in the east and 24 in the northern zone.

Four people remain in hospital but the largest number of recoveries - 50 - were reported today on the province's coronavirus site...

Twenty-six new cases of COVID-19 have been identified in Nova Scotia, bringing the province's total to 262.

Of the confirmed cases, 24 are in the eastern region, 25 are in the northern region, 38 are in the western region and 175 are in the central region.

The testing lab that handles all of Nova Scotia's COVID-19 results moved to round-the-clock operations Monday, on the same day the province identified 31 new cases of the virus.

That brings the provincial total of known cases to 293. Those known cases range in age from under 10 to older than 90.

The Nova Scotia government announced the death Thursday. This is the second COVID-19 death in the province.
