As of August 9, Azerbaijan has confirmed 33568 cases of COVID-19 within its borders. There have been 490 confirmed deaths. All of Azerbaijan’s borders are currently closed to passenger traffic.
Flights into and out of Azerbaijan are no longer available. All arrivals to Azerbaijan, including U.S. citizens, are currently being placed in a mandatory 14-day quarantine in government-provided facilities, regardless of travel origin.
The Government of Azerbaijan has implemented strict rules requiring people to stay inside, whether in private homes, apartments, or permanent or temporary residences and to monitor citizen movements. From June 22 to July 5, 2020, the Government of Azerbaijan will reintroduce an SMS regime requiring individuals in Baku, Ganja, Sumgayit, Lankaran, Yevlakh, Masalli, Lankaran, Jalilabad, and Absheron to obtain permission by SMS to leave home for essential trips

Over the past 24 hours, Azerbaijan has confirmed 103 new cases of the novel coronavirus, the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers said on Friday.
Some 221 virus infected people have recovered and 4 others have died in Azerbaijan, the Operational Headquarters noted.
The overall confirmed COVID-19 cases in Azerbaijan have reached 34,018, with 31,490 recoveries and 504 deaths. As many as 2,024 patients are currently being treated in specialized hospitals.
