Australia - Airborne COVID-19 likely in quarantine hotel outbreak - February 26, 2021
"I think we need the further information in terms of the independent review of ventilation, then further risk assessment can be made from there."
Professor Weeramanthri said "ventilation must now be seen as a modifiable risk factor" for transmission in the hotel quarantine environment.
The use of the therm airborne here should not be confused with its meaning in viral transmission. Here they seam to be dealing with droplet transmission being suspended in a moving air stream which is a well known phenomenan.
Yes...it is airborne for viral transmission. The reason most health departments are not acknowledging this is because THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH N95 MASKS ( I am really mad about this. It is the single largest failure after the pandemic began). The world should have been producing these by the billions since a year.)
"Mean estimates of the contributions of larger respiratory droplets and smaller respiratory aerosols were 41% and 59%, respectively."
