Algeria - The toll of Coronavirus contamination recorded over the past 24 hours has seen a fine drop on August 19. The Covid-19 pandemic monitoring committee has identified no less than 403 new contaminations.
Indeed, the toll of Coronavirus contamination in Algeria was recorded on August 19. Thus, the authorities responsible for monitoring the development of the Coronavirus pandemic in the country have counted no less than 403 cases of Covid-19 contamination; according to what the spokesperson of the Scientific Commission, Dr Djamel Fourar announced.
That said, in total since the appearance of the first case of Covid-19 contagion last February; Algeria has 39,847 cases infected with the Coronavirus.

While the third phase (03rd) of deconfinement took effect on August 15; especially with the opening of mosques, beaches, restaurants and cafeterias; Dr Mohamed Bekkat Berkani has admitted that the virus continues to circulate and that it is not going to go away; "This is why Algerians must learn to live with it and resume their life from before Covid-19"; he confided.
For his part, the director general of the Pasteur Institute of Algeria, Doctor Fawzi Derrar, explained on August 13 during an interview with the Algerian daily, El Watan; that the Coronavirus vaccine will only be available in Algeria towards the end of 2020. In passing, he reassured the population by indicating that in recent days; a drop in the number of cases of Covid-19; as well as in the occupancy rate of emergency rooms and intensive care units was recorded.
For his part, the Minister of Health, Abderrahmane Benbouzid has indicated that the disposal of the vaccine against the Coronavirus will only be possible from October 2020; because "Algeria is waiting to see the results of the marketing of the vaccine; as well as its effect on the population, before judging its effectiveness ”; he asserted.
